Bradshaw Farm Barracudas

Getting to know COACH JONNY… Since 2002 Coach Jonny has been a member of our team. The Barracudas were the foundation to Coach Jonny's swimming career. Jonny also competed as a Sequoyah Chief and as a Dawgfish on the UGA Swim Club. Jonny has recently graduated with his BSA in Agricultural Business from the University of Georgia, where he will return in the Fall to start his MBA. The University of Georgia has opened up various doors for Coach Jonny across the world! Last Fall Coach Jonny lived in Zurich, Switzerland and attended the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). He was able to travel to across Europe and expand his knowledge of the world. Coming back to the United States would not be complete without coming back to his Bradshaw Farm Family!

Besides his lively spirit, Jonny is very dedicated to make sure his Barracudas are having fun and reaching their goals. During the summer you can always find Jonny up at the pool, at the lake with his family, or out for a run in the neighborhood. At the end of their race, Coach Jonny's goal is for the swimmers to hop out of the pool with a smile on their face. "We all know that there is constantly room for improvement, but seeing that the kids are proud of what they just accomplished is one of the many joys of being a coach!"

From his crazy dance moves on the side of the pool, to his famous cheer that we have all learned to love, we are so thankful to have Coach Jonny! "I have watched this team mature over the years and I can truly say that the Barracudas are one of a kind!"

Coach Hess is an experienced swimmer and coach! She swam in high school.  She has coached in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and various places in Georgia.  In addition to coaching the Barracudas, she also coaches at Sequoyah High School and has, since 2000.Her favorite stroke is the butterfly, but she loves to watch the 200 IM.  Coach Hess has degrees in Health and PE as well as drivers ed.  So if you need help learning to drive….On the weekend, you might find her kayaking, doing crafts, and singing in her church choir.  Her favorite movies are The Princess Bride and Shawshank Redemption.  She loves country music, just like Coach Pam!  Coach Hess’s favorite thing about coaching the Barracuda’s is “EVERYTHING!!!!!”.  She loves to see her students from Hickory Flat in a more relaxed setting like the pool!  AND….did you know that Coach Hess participated in synchronized swimming in college!  WOW!

Hi everyone! I'm Coach Pam! This is my second year coaching Bradshaw Farm Barracudas and I am so excited about this season! I have been swimming since I was eight years old and I swam in college at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina for four years and absolutely loved it! I am a huge ECU Pirates fan and graduated from here in December with a degree in Elementary Education. I would love to become a teacher in either Kindergarten or First grade. Before Bradshaw, I coached at the Canton YMCA for four years and also coached a club team in North Carolina while I was in school. In my spare time I like to hang out with friends and family, read, kayak, swim, and go to the lake and beach. My favorite animals are dogs, bears, and otters and my favorite color is purple. I love candy so skittle practice is my favorite practice but the thing I love most is working with the kids! Fun fact: my mom is Coach Hess!

Hi Barracudas! I just graduated from UGA and I am going to GRU for nursing school next year.  My dream job is to be a pop-star, a rapper, or a storm chaser.  I love singing with all the swimmers, especially to the song, Call Me Maybe!  I am a Quiktrip coffee shop regular.  I am also a PRO at making friendship bracelets and music mix CD’s.  I LOVE road trips!

Hello Barracudas! My name is Madeline Janflone and I am a senior at Sequoyah! I am so looking forward to graduation- woo hoo! I will be attending the University of South Carolina in the fall…GO GAMECOCKS! I am so excited to be a part of the coaching staff. I learned how to swim when I was four years old and I have loved the water ever since. I’ve been a Barracuda since middle school and I also swam for Sequoyah all four years, under Coach Hess! I’m looking forward to a great season with the twins by my side; and yes, I can tell them apart! So get ready to race, and dance and cheer! It’s going to be a splash! GO BRADSHAW BARRACUDAS!

I have been a swimming for Bradshaw for nearly 10 years now.  This is my first year coaching and I'm really excited. I have been competitively swimming since 2006 for Chattahoochee Gold Swim club. I graduate from Sequoyah this summer and I plan to attend Birmingham Southern College on a swimming/merit based Scholarship to pursue a degree in Biochemical Engineering.
