Bradshaw Farm Barracudas

Big congratulations to our very own Barracudas Coach Nell Hess who was named the Georgia High School Swimming Coaches Association (GHSSCA) girls coach of the year! Georgia high school coaches vote for the coach of the year! The Sequoyah Swim and Dive Chiefs had a great 2015-2016 season -- the girls finished 3rd in the state! AMAZING! We are so proud of Coach Hess and all the Barracudas. Congrats on a great SHS season!!

Nell Hess:   Coach Hess is an experienced swimmer and coach! She swam in high school. She has coached in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and various places in Georgia. In addition to coaching the Barracudas, she also coaches at Sequoyah High School and has, since 2000. Her favorite stroke is the butterfly, but she loves to watch the 200 IM. Coach Hess has degrees in Health and PE as well as drivers ed. So if you need help learning to drive…. On the weekend, you might find her kayaking, doing crafts, and singing in her church choir. Her favorite movies are The Princess Bride and Shawshank Redemption. She loves country music, just like Coach Pam! Coach Hess’s favorite thing about coaching the Barracuda’s is “EVERYTHING!!!!!”. She loves to see her students from Hickory Flat in a more relaxed setting like the pool! AND….did you know that Coach Hess participated in synchronized swimming in college! WOW!  Fun fact... Coach Hess is also the CSSA (Cherokee Summer Swim Association) Secretary this year! Thanks for taking that on too, Coach Hess!

Pam Hess:  Hi Barracudas! I'm Coach Pam! This is my fourth year coaching the Bradshaw Farm Barracudas and I am so excited about this season! I am also an assistant swim coach for Sequoyah High School. I have been swimming since I was eight years old and I swam in college at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina for four years and absolutely loved it! I am a huge ECU Pirates fan and graduated from here with a degree in Elementary Education. Before Bradshaw, I coached at the Canton YMCA for four years and also coached a club team in North Carolina while I was in school. In my spare time I like to hang out with friends and family, read, kayak, swim, and go to the lake and beach. My favorite animals are dogs, bears, and otters and my favorite color is purple. I love candy so skittle practice is my favorite practice but the thing I love most is working with the kids! Fun fact: my mom is Coach Hess!

BARRACUDAS!!!!! I am so excited for this 2016 season! I am Coach Ben and I have been a Barracuda for quite some time now, I believe I started swimming for this team about 12 years ago! This is my 3rd summer coaching and It has been so much fun working for this team, y'all are amazing! I am also a Lifeguard and Swim instructor at Lifetime Fitness, and a rising junior in college. I was a Chemistry Major at Birmingham Southern College, but next semester I will be transferring into the University of Georgia to study engineering or physical therapy! My favorite food is Chipotle, and I spend most of my free time in the weight room or at my neighborhood lake fishing! I love swimming in the coaches relays, because my team always wins! For those who don't know I have an evil twin brother named "Coach Jack", who is also 4 minutes younger than myself!
