2019 Barracuda Important Info

    May 6, 2019

    Good Evening Barracudas,

As the school year starts to wind down, the excitement for Bradshaw Swim team grows! We cannot wait to see our Barracudas next week! Here are a few helpful reminders as practices begins:
    • If there is anything that you're not sure about-- it's on Swimtopia! Any information regarding schedules, meets, practice times, what to wear, picture day, apparel, etc.. it's all on our wonderful Swimtopia site! Make sure to check it out and gain all of the information you may need for the upcoming season!
    • Please make sure that you have purchased the required swim suit-- these are to be worn at picture day and at our meets. Please feel free to wear normal swim suits to practices to keep our team suit in pristine condition.
    • Practices are what you make of them-- meaning they are not mandatory, but highly suggested to make sure that your Barracuda is getting maximum exposure to the strokes and technique. We understand that summer involves sleepovers, camps, play dates, etc.-- so make sure that you're having fun this summer & come to practice as much as possible!
    • Declaring for each swim meet is not only imperative, but mandatory! Even if you plan on not attending a meet, you need to declare that you will not be present. This year, now that we have switched to ASA, we are not longer able to make last minute changes to the heat sheet-- so it is imperative that we know. We understand that life happens, but we greatly appreciate your help in resolving this issue.
    • Meet information: Swimmers who have declared their availability for the meet will be entered into the meet program, which will be sent out the morning of the meet. Additional information regarding meets (ie: times, what to bring, where to go, etc) will be located on Swimtopia and sent out via email closer to the actual meets.
    • Volunteering - Parents who have signed up for volunteer spots throughout our season...please remember these slots. We appreciate all of you & could NOT run these meets without you!

We can't wait to see everyone at the pool for Dryland practice on Monday, May 6th-May 8th.Then regular pool practice begins on Thursday May 9th. Please refer to our Swimtopia page for specific information on what time to attend practices, what to wear, and when we will be transitioning to water practices! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. We can't wait to see everyone!

Kind regards, Jonny Balchus, Swim Coach Manager Megan Kremer & Tina Reissig, Swim Team Coordinators
