2020 Bradshaw Farm Barracudas update on COVID-19 concerns
March 15th
From March 12, 2020
Good Afternoon Barracuda Parents, We have had quite a few calls, texts & emails concerning the Coronavirus and our swim season this May. We have been in contact with our Atlanta Swim Association (ASA) representative. As of right now, we are going to follow the advice of the CDC & ASA. The good news is that we do have 2 full months before practices should normally begin. We will keep everyone updated with any alerts or changes as they become available. The BF Barracudas & Atlanta Swim Association will refund 100% of any costs for anyone who is wanting to do so. Again, our recommendation is to wait & see what happens in the next few weeks. We also encourage everyone to follow the recommendations and updates from the CDC, including proper hygiene practices. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we all navigate through this very unfortunate uncertainty. "This is certainly on our radar. We will obviously refund any registrations if we don’t have a season, but the hope is we have a season. We’ve got some time to work with here and the hope is that the warmer weather and time will bring a more stable situation and hopefully less cases of Coronavirus. As you are, we will be closely monitoring what the state and local governments are instructing us to so and will certainly follow their lead. I will have a broader e mail on this later this week/early next week. However, it will be pretty much what I am telling you. We plan on having a swim season, and hope that time will give us the opportunity to do so. Stay tuned (and wash those hands)". - Franke Marsden, Atlanta Swim Association Thank you, Megan Kremer & Sarah Williams |
