How to signup for 2021 volunteer shifts

    Good Morning!

I thought I had just about everything covered from last night's email but I forgot that if you are brand new to the team...you won't know how to sign up for volunteer shifts.

PARENTS - PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE A 99% VOLUNTEER RUN SWIMTEAM. WE ALWAYS NEED & APPRECIATE EVERYONE'S HELP. (We do pay the coaches - its their summer job)

    1. Please sign on to our SWIMTOPIA site from your laptop or desktop to do this ...not your phone.

    2. Go to the section to the right of the home page to where it says UPCOMING EVENTS in blue & VIEW ALL in green.

    3. Hit VIEW ALL & then scroll down to the date of our first scheduled MEET which is JUNE 3rd.

    4. There to the right you will see 2 green tabs. (Remember this for Meet sign ups) but for now we are only concerned with JOB SIGNUPS.

    5. Hit the job signups tab. This tab will then bring you to either yourself or a spouses's name. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ONLY ONE PARENT HAS TO SIGN UP FOR THE VOLUNTEER SHIFTS. (not both parents) If you are splitting the shifts between the 2 of you - that's fine too.

    6. Once you hit the tab of which parent you are signing up for - it will finally bring you to all of the shifts available at that particular meet. Each shift says one point = one shift. For now we are asking that each family signs up for 4 shifts. We want to make sure everyone (new & old) can sign up for shifts. Your 5th shift will come from our last meet that is currently not open to sign up for yet. *Currently -we have 4 Meets open for volunteer shift & Fun Friday practice helpers that you can choose your shifts from.

    7. Once you've signed up for your shift for the first meet - you can then go into each meet and/or Fun Friday shift ( a fun practice where the kids get their ribbons & eat donuts) to sign up for shifts.

    8. That should be it with signing up for volunteer shifts. If something comes up, going out of town or your swimmer gets sick - you can go back into swimtopia & change your shifts.

    9. Parents - please remember that we need everyone to help out with your shifts. If you sign up for something & are a no-show...we will ask you to sign up for something else or their will be a NO-SHOW VOLUNTEER FEE. *Please remember that when you register your swimmer - their is a Volunteer Opt out fee you can pay to not have to volunteer for any shifts in the summer.

    10. That's it. Please email me for now with any questions. I hope this helps.

***I will have everyone refer back to these instructions at a later date when we talk about signing your swimmer up for the actual swim meets.***

Also - we actually have a VOLUNTEER LEAD who is there to help organize each volunteer for each meet. So later in the season if you have any questions...please feel free to email Niki Rogers at [email protected].

    Have a great Day!
