NEW PARENT INFORMATION:
Fun Fridays - these are not a real swim team practices. This is a fun time for the kids to get together, eat donuts & swim in the pool with the coaches. A little one on one time for each age group. We will have games, chalk, music & snacks for the kids each week. Our last week of practices (June 21-25) we will have a Fun Wednesday, Fun Thursday & Fun Friday. Signups for donations will be sent out soon.
*Parents - we are doing Fun Fridays a bit differently this summer so please make sure to bring your swimmer to their specific age group ONLY. Please no siblings. We will have our ribbon table set up outside of our pool gate for any other swimmers that would like to pick up their ribbons. Otherwise, the other age groups may get their ribbons at their next practice.
Meet Times: Parents this summer only - we will have you drop off all swimmers to our pool at 5pm to start warming up. (normally it would be 4pm). Our meets will start promptly at 6pm. Please come HUNGRY & bring chairs to sit.
Our concession stand takes cash or venmo - @Barracudas-Barracudas.
Every meet will have all kinds of food - Johnny's pizza, Zaxby's chicken fingers, Shane's, freshly grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie dogs, chips, drinks & KONA ICE. Please support the Barracudas by eating at our food at each meet!
Parking at Meets: Please do not say I have not warned you. Parking at our area will not be easy on our meet nights. We will have signage on our main road (Bradshaw Club Drive) on which side of the street to park on. Please DO NOT block anyone's driveway. I can promise you...you will get towed.
If anyone would like to be a shuttle driver with their golf cart on meet nights...please contact me asap! :)
Signing up for each meet: For our new parents - you can sign your swimmer up for each meet weekly or all at once if you know you will be here for each meet. Signing up will be very similar to when you signed up for your volunteer shifts. We do have a deadline for EACH meet to sign up your swimmer.
***PLEASE REFER TO THE HOME PAGE ON OUR SWIMTOPIA ACCOUNT. This will explain how to sign up/declare your swimmer for each meet***.
For each TUESDAY MEET - you will need to register your swimmer by the PREVOIUS FRIDAY.
For each THURSDAY MEET - you will have to register your swimmer by the PREVIOUS MONDAY.
Volunteer Shifts: Parents please make sure you have signed up for your 4 (for now) required volunteer shifts. We will have a volunteer meeting before our first meet to go over each position.
End of Season Banquet: We have been approved to have our end of season banquet. It will be Friday June 25th. This summer it will be catered by one of our awesome sponsors - the Bradshaw Farm Golf course. We will eat in the golf tent by 6pm then head to the pool by 7pm to start the awards ceremony. (more details to follow).
