We're getting excited for swim team, just several more weeks until we kick off the Barracuda season! Volunteer shifts open up 4/19/25 at 12pm.  Please read the follow information to review the requirements and instructions to sign up.

Family participation is vital to the success of our swim team. Joining the swim team requires active participation by all parents. As a reminder, each family is required to fulfil five volunteer shifts, which is detailed during the registration process and each family acknowledged and accepted.

Family Participation Policy:

1) All swim team parents are required to fulfill a minimum of (5) work session assignments per family. Each family must meet their (5) session work obligation or be assessed a Participation Penalty Fee of $75 per assignment not fulfilled to be paid at the end of the swim season. If any assessments go unpaid at the end of the season, participant awards will not be given until all accounts are up to date and eligibility will be impacted for future seasons.

2) Assignment descriptions are outlined on the Parent Volunteer Job Description is available on SwimTopia. The (5) work sessions are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

3) Swimmers will not be entered into any meets until each family has signed up for all of their mandatory volunteer positions.

4) It is the family’s responsibility, not that of the Volunteer Coordinator, to provide substitutes for their specific assignment if they are unable to fulfill their responsibility on the date for which they signed-up. The Volunteer Coordinator must be notified of all changes prior to the assigned date. Substitutes, if not other swim team parents, must be at least 14 years old.

5) If you absolutely cannot fulfill the above obligations, you may pre-pay a "Volunteer Opt Out Fee" at the time of registration.

How to Sign Up:

1. Please sign on to our SwimTopia site from your laptop or desktop (mobile phone doesn't have the same functionality)

2. Go to the section to the right of the home page to where it says upcoming events

3. Scroll down to the dates of our first meets which are 5/27 Practice Meet & 5/29 Barracudas vs Deer Run @ Home

4. To the right you will see 2 green tabs. Click job signup

5. Hit the Sign up for Jobs tab. This tab will then bring you to either yourself or a spouses' name. Please remember that only one parent needs to sign up for a shift (not both parents) If you are splitting the shifts between the 2 of you - that's fine too.

6. Once you hit the tab of which parent you are signing up for - it will finally bring you to all of the shifts available at that particular meet. Each shift says one point = one shift. Each family signs up for 5 shifts.
