Hello Barracudas,

Our Orange Shoals meet is coming up….woot!
They want to do a parent relay with us… come on parents we know some of you want to swim….
Let us know! It would be at the halfway mark again!

A few notes about the meet this Thursday against Orange Shoals:
-we will warmup at 5:30pm; meet starts at 6pm
-their concessions: fresh grilled Nathans Dogs and burgers, nachos, chips, drinks, candies, etc
-parking allowed in the field next to their pool; only request is for us not to park on the street, or in grass within 24 inches of curbs, that is where their sprinkler heads are
-diving allowed at one end of the pool (9ft) and push off in the shallow end
-remember to write a “D” on your child’s right shoulder if they are dive certified
-both teams will be DQing for 11 & Ups

Speaking of swim meets… We have to tell you that Arbor View was so complimentary of our team….And said how much they loved being at our pool…and what a fun time it was. They even suggested that they’d like to make the meet with us the last of the season next summer…as that would be a fun way to end the summer season.

They loved our music (shout out to our DJ Sean Mullings) and our food (shout out to our concessions team Sandra Mascheri and Lisa Laczko, and all our grill guys)! THANK YOU to all our volunteers who make the meets possible (and to Jennifer Hall and Niki Rogers for organizing us all!) And thanks to the Mullings as well for providing all the awesome beads for the kids! (Laissez les bons temps rouler!) Thanks to emcee Darren Sarkady who kept the meet rolling along and is so encouraging to our kids and Barb Sarkady… she organizes all those event/time cards on our clipboards for all our swim meets! Our backroom crew gets a big shout out for keeping score and doing all those ribbons our kids love….thank you Aaron & Jeannette Carter, Laura Castel, Erica Brandau and DeAnna Kirby! We sure love all our flag bearers… a special tradition to our team…thanks to Sheila Zeigler for organizing the flag crew!
