Friends of Chattahoochee Gold Swimming:

There are a couple exciting things going on here at Gold that I want to share with everyone! First, as you may know, swimming Olympic Trials began today in Omaha and Chattahoochee Gold swimmer Lauren Case has already made a huge impact. Lauren qualified for semi-finals this morning with a tenth place finish in the 100 Fly! She represents the first swimmer from Cherokee County, GA to get to this level and will be competing this evening to try and make the top 8 final! This race will be broadcast live tonight at 8 PM on NBC so I hope everyone can tune in to see a real hometown hero race at this level of competition! If you are a summer league coordinator it would be a thrilling thing I think for the swimmers in the league to see someone who started out as a Deer Run Dolphin takes these final steps towards making the olympic team, so please spread the word if you can!

We also have several swimmer evaluation dates for those interested in joining Gold for the 2016-2017 season. I enjoyed doing the dive certifications and clinics this summer and hope that many of them decide to continue with us this fall! Here are the dates for both our Cherokee and Woodstock Locations:

Cherokee:
June 30: 4:30-6:30
NEW DATE DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND July 12: 4:30-5:30
July 18: 4:30-6:30
August 8: 4:30-6:30

Woodstock:
June 27: 4:30-6:30
July 11: 4:30-6:30
August 8 (at Cherokee Pool): 4:30-6:30
